Permaculture: Permaculture is an action-based whole-system design protocol. Permanent culture can only result from human design (applied intelligence), and human labor (applied energy), fueled by the sun. Shared and meaningful labor towards regenerative ends, typifies permaculture efforts on Earth for the last 40 years. The accumulated evidence for the effectiveness of permaculture design thus far is rich and well beyond anecdotal.

Keyline Design: Pattern-based cultivation to meet all human water needs. Using keyline understanding of water flows, topography and soils, we can drought proof any landscape by design. Using the scale of permanence we place all the elements of the ecosystem (see Regen10)  in harmonious and functional relation to water flow and topography.  

Mycorestoration: Fungi are nature’s re-assemblers, breaking down cellulose, lignins, and long-form hydrocarbons into usable chemistries for other trophic forms of life. Fungi can ‘eat’ petroleum, cesium, other manmade toxins, and act as biological filters for cleaning water pollutants.

Carbon Farming: Transitioning traditional mono-crop farming practices away from carbon producing/topsoil losing, toward carbon sequestration through topsoil building. Measuring topsoil, measuring carbon levels, data collection, weather measuring, etc. insures that we can sequester atmospheric carbon, and act as Homo sapien proper ought–as “the wise man”.

Agroforestry: Incorporating trees into the agricultural landscape for perennial returns on investment, shelter breaks, fodder, fuels, and other crops. Agroforestry relies on rotational and paddock shifting animals for nutrietn cycling, as well as sustainable timber practices such as coppice and pollarding to create perennial nutrient dense food systems for mankind. Primarily we help farms and cities design and implement Food Forests.

Food Forests: Food forests gather nutrient dense yields over time and space in the most productive and resilient food system known to man. Time elements include food in all four seasons through early ripening, mid ripening and late ripening varieties of crops: tree crops, herb crops, shrub crops, vine crops, mushroom crops, animals crops, and root crops. Space elements include proper selection of crops with consideration of mature height, width and sun needs. Add low-technology storage design (root cellar, cold frames) and you approach food security by design. Food forests can produce and yeild for thousands of years and represent a long-term investment.

Sun Fuel: Buckminster Fuller described alcohol fuels as liquid solar energy. Ethanol fuels from perennial polyculture systems help ensure easy access to human cultivated fuels from perennial surface biology. Perennial and polyculture alcohol production drastically increases production for ethanol yields. Wastes from ethanol production are practically non-existent and alcohol based fuels can run internal combustion engines producing no toxic wastes.
